I purchased this rod to hang 108" velvet curtains in front of my shower curtain. When it arrived, I had doubts it would work because it looked just like a regular shower curtain rod. I initially searched for a strong tension curtain rod. (I have had fights with past shower curtain rods so I wanted to avoid that scenario.) I was going to return it but then decided to give it a try first.... Glad I did. It's excellent! It was easy to extend and has been in place for a few weeks with no movement whatsoever.We just moved to a new house and have purchased many rods and had to return them to the store because they were hard to use or they would fall. These worked the best. I have purchased 6-8 of these because they work the best.We have different curtain rods throughout the house, this was one of the better ones we've purchased. Having cats in the house it can be a concern if they come down easy. So far so good! Great color too.Great product. Sturdy.Nice gold color. Easy to install. I have a short curtain on it, so I’m not sure how well it would be able to support long curtains (it seems like it could easily fall under too much weight if you don’t twist it enough into the space). But for my short curtain / small window it’s perfect.
