Thankfully, this is exactly what I was looking for! It fit the description perfectly (which is not always the case). I do have to say that the red is more burgundy than what is shown in the picture, but it is still very pretty. If you are looking to use this as a privacy curtain in any way do not buy it, or just buy a liner for it. I am using mine to cover the bottom half of my kitchen window since it looks out into the street but I still wanted to be able to see out the window without having to move the curtain. I am definitely going to have to buy a liner of some sort. Overall, it is great though!I have done so much research for this valance and almost gave up, thought I couldn't afford it. However, with the availability at Amazon I ordered the valance. It is beautiful and truly enhances my bay window and the color of the walls. The wall color is called french toast and looks great with this valance. The material looks and feels like silk, the cording is generous and carries a rich feeling thru out. The applique of fleur di lis is better than I thought, I have that theme thru out our home. The rug in our kitchen also picks up the same design, we are very happy with this purchase.Here it is 2016--and I purchased these in black color in 2012. They were beautiful when I bought them, and they are still beautiful. Thick, wonderful fabric. I used them in a 'black-out' room. I have black heavy black-out drapes in that bedroom and used this as a valance to give them a little pizzazz. The bedroom was used when I worked nights and had to sleep in the day time. Tricking my brain into the idea it was night. Actually the valances look elegant with my drapes. A good length--and reasonably priced. I am well pleased with them.These valances are beautiful and suit my living room decor. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is that they are very difficult to install on a standard 3" rod pocket hardware. They're just too tight. It took two of us and we made it work but had to pull the stitching apart a little to round the corners.These looked very appealing but we ended up returning them 'cause getting them up over sliding doors ended up being a project that my husband couldn't tackle.i love these valances mine are in black and in the bathroom i have searched and searched for the shower curtain with no luck also i would also like the panels to go into the formal dinning but in wine or red can not locate anywhere any ideals were to purchase these fellows really like to have them through out my houseI purchased the Ellis Fleur Di Les curtains from Bed Bath & Beyond, happy to find this pillow, beautiful addition! If you're looking for an area rug to match the Ellis Fleur Di Les curtains, the Safavieh Lyndhurst Collection LNH223B Red and the Well Woven Timeless Fleur Di Les Geometric Trellis Lattice Red, both are a perfect match!It is a good size and nicely made. I wish it were a deeper richer shade of red, more blue-red than orange-red. Other than that is is great. I love Fleur Di Lis on anything.
