I really like the design of this shower curtain. Very distinctive. The color (espresso) onscreen is a bit more purple than the actual fabric (at least on my monitor). It is very much in the brown family -- espresso is an apt name since it is coffee colored. Construction quality is good - the grommets are securely attached, and all the seams are tight and neat.It is made of some type of polyester - feels like a thin nylon. It is very thin and lightweight, and lets in a lot of light. Drapes well - right out of the bag it hung with only minor creases which relaxed out after one use as a shower curtain. The fabric design is only on the side that faces out.I'm using this as my only shower curtain (no liner) and for my application it works fine. I have a curved pole that keeps the curtain from catching a direct stream of water, plus I use a low-flow shower head that puts out a very gentle spray. For more demanding situations you'd be better off using this in combination with a plastic liner. Also, this does not have magnets or weights in the seams. I've not had any billowing problems, but with a more intensive water spray, or a lot of air movement, that could be an issue unless you use a liner.Since it's a poly/nylon fabric it sheds water well, and drys quickly. To make it even more water proof I sprayed the inside bottom third with a fabric waterproofing spray. Works like a charm. The care label says it can be machine washed in cold water and tumble dried on low (although I'd think twice about putting such thin poly in a dryer). It also recommends using this with a liner.I was able to get this at the Amazon warehouse for about five bucks, so I've very satisfied with the price-performance. But, even at the regular price I think it's a decent deal.
