The look of this traverse curtain rod is beautiful, but it is difficult to install and it doesn't end up looking like it should. The finials at each end are heavy, and they are attached to the rod by a small, cheap piece of plastic that allows the finial to sag and loosen over time. The rings do not slide easily, and they stick in places, so that you have to manually pull the curtains over that area of the rod. Even though the directions state that it can be made into a one-way pull, there is a huge gap between the end of the rod and the curtain. So one side of the rod has a huge gap between the end of the rod and where the curtains begin, while the other side has a smaller gap. The outer brackets are different from the inner support brackets, and there is no hint in the directions as to the vertical placement, so its a guessing game as to how much higher or lower they need to be installed to line up with the outer brackets.I am very disappointed, given the amount of time it took to install. It is so frustrating not to be able just to pull the cord to open and close the curtains by the draw cord. Instead, I am wrestling with each individual ring, trying to get them past the sticky part.
