60" Never Rust Aluminum Straight Shower Curtain Rod - Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish - Heavy Duty Bathroom Accessory for Modern & Traditional Homes

What a fine, strong, great-looking product! The original rod was a plastic, spring-loaded bar with rubber-tipped ends...NOT what we wanted in our new place. This shower curtain rod is sturdy brass finished in satin stainless steel, neither of which will rust. They mount easily via the two end pieces directly to the wall. Our laundry machines are in the bathroom too, so we naturally wanted to hang wet and damp clothing from the bar, in addition to the regular shower curtain and liner. This rod can take it all...weight, moisture and decor challenges all over time. Worth every penny! We will never have to buy a new one.Our opening was an odd size, so we ordered the length that was larger than and closest to our actual space. We then hand hacksawed the extra 1.75" off, a 5 minute task. Make sure it is level using a bubble level.Looks nice installed. I bought stainless steel screws to mount after screws included broke off while being installed. These were predrilled past shower material. Partially drilled into 2x4 behind wall. This gave enough resistance to break head off a couple screws after hand drilling.Easy mounting the color is a little more bronze than black or oiled. Seem sturdy enough and I have had no issues after months of use.For this kind of money, I expected a heavier gauge tube. I have a rod in my other bath that is much more substantial. There is no adjustment so you must cut it the length is not exact. There is not way to remove the rod from the brackets without unscrewing the brackets from the wall. I am not impressed at all.Clean and elegant look, I would like the rod to be little bit stiffer.I purchased the 84 inch rod. After cutting and mounting, the aluminum connector inside was not strong enough to hold the shower curtain up and bowed! Because I had cut the pipe, I just had to throw it a way. What a waste. I put the old one back up. At least it doesn't bow in the middle. I am buying a custom cut, single curtain rod from (another vendor).
